Approval for the Removal of Heritage Objects - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to remove heritage objects from the Northern Territory for any of the following reasons:

  • public display, for example, in a museum
  • scientific research or educational purposes.

If the object to be removed is an Aboriginal or Macassan archaeological object, the approval may only be given if the person or community who, according to aboriginal tradition, have a right to possess it and consents to the removal.
