Barramundi Fishing Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to commercially fish for barramundi. The commercial barramundi season starts on February 1 and runs through to September 30.

The fishery is restricted to 14 licences which can be bought, sold and leased. All licences are currently allocated.

This licence does not allow you to fish between Little Finnis River and the Wildman River, including Bynoe Harbour, Darwin Harbour, Shoal Bay and Kakadu National Park. It also does not allow you to fish or anchor within the Dugong Protection Area in the south-western Gulf of Carpentaria. Each licence is allowed a maximum of 1000m of gill net.
