You will need this registration if you intend to operate as an unrestricted building certifier. Building certifiers issue building permits and occupancy certificates for buildings. This registration is unlimited and will allow you to certify all classes of buildings and structures.
This registration will allow you to:
- assess building applications
- issue building permits
- make recommendations to the director about applications for certificates of existence
- issue occupancy certificates.
If you are an interstate applicant, you may be eligible to obtain a licence through mutual recognition.
