You will need this permit if you intend to perform music, dance or street theatre in a public place for the purpose of receiving contributions from the public.

Please lodge your completed application with supporting documentation with the Council.

Additional information

Permit to busk is subject to following conditions:

  • permits only valid between 10am and 6pm daily
  • buskers must avoid behaviours that may cause annoyance to the public
  • you may not busk longer than 60 minutes at any one place
  • use of amplification is not permitted unless approved by council
  • if a busking act involves more than one person, a permit must be obtained for each person
  • must hold public liability insurance of no less than $10,000,000 and provide details to the Council.
