Casino Employee Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to work in a casino on gaming operations including as a croupier, cashier, security officer, and in surveillance and administration.

There are three types of licence:

  • key licence - for casino managers
  • standard licence - for employees working in a casino on gaming operations
  • trainee licence - for people undergoing training.

Please note that you can only apply for a licence once you have been offered a job by a licensed casino in the Northern Territory.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • have an offer to work in a licensed casino
  • be over 18 years of age
  • undergo a police check and fingerprinting
  • be interviewed by an agency officer
  • provide detailed personal and financial information about yourself
  • have a sound and stable financial background
  • be a person of good repute.

Duration

This licence is valid for 5 years. A provisional licence is valid for up to 1 year.
