Certifying Architect Registration - Northern Territory


A Certifying Architect may certify all classes of buildings and structures as being in accordance with the NT Building Act, Building Regulations and provisions of the Building Code of Australia.

A Certifying Architect is required to hold professional indemnity insurance to a value of $100,000 and be a type that is acceptable to the Building Practitioners Board.

If a corporation or firm is registered as a certifying architect, then they must have a nominated individual who is also registered in the same category.

A registered Architect under the Architects Act who has had at least 4 years practical experience in building surveying work in relation to all classes of buildings.
