Compliance Certificate - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this certificate if you own and operate a pool. A compliance certificate acknowledges that your pool safety barrier or fence has been inspected by a pool safety advisor and meets the legal standards.

You will need to have your pool assessed by a pool safety advisor before a compliance certificate can be issued.

Pool safety barriers are walls, fences or similar structures that are built intending to restrict children under the age of 5, to gain access to the pool area. Different standards apply, depending on:

  • if your pool was installed / built before 1 January 2003
  • if your property has been sold, transferred or leased
  • the size of your property.
