Compliance Certificate - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this certificate if you own and operate a pool. A compliance certificate acknowledges that your pool safety barrier or fence has been inspected by a pool safety advisor and meets the legal standards.

Pool safety barriers are walls, fences or similar structures for restricting children from accessing the pool area. Different standards apply, depending on:

  • if your pool was installed / built before 1 January 2003
  • if your property has been sold, transferred or leased
  • the size of your property.

To be eligible, you must:

  • provide your name and the address of the location of the swimming pool
  • state whether the swimming pool complies with the Australian Standard
  • provide details of all the particulars of the proposed enclosure of the swimming pool
  • state whether you have received advice from a pool safety advisor.
