Conveyancing Agent Licence - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate as a conveyancing agent. Conveyancing is the preparation and execution of legal documents for the sale or purchase of a property. The duties of a conveyancing agent include searching land titles, arranging for the preparation and execution of contracts for sale and drawing or preparing documents in relation to land.

You may apply as an individual or a company.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

obtain a police check
hold the units of competency as specified by the agency
be a fit and proper person
advertise your application.

Duration

You can apply for a one year, three year or five year licence.

Expiry

Your licence will expire on the anniversary of the date it was granted.
