Courtesy Vehicle Requirements - Northern Territory

Description

You will need to comply with a number of regulatory requirements if you intend to operate a courtesy vehicle service in the Northern Territory. A courtesy vehicle is a service offered as part of an agreement for the provision of accommodation or activities and is provided to passengers without payment of a fare.

Relevant requirements include obtaining appropriate insurance and complying with a number of operating conditions. Please refer to the attached resources for more information.

Eligibility requirements

To drive a vehicle to provide a courtesy service, you must:

  • be the holder of a current NT driver’s licence
  • be the holder of a NT licence to drive CPVs (‘h’ endorsement)
  • be the holder of a current NT CPV ID Card with courtesy vehicle endorsed against the ID Card.
