Development Permit - Northern Territory

Description

You will need to apply for a development permit if you intend to complete a development project in the Northern Territory. The types of projects that might require approval are:

  • house extensions
  • subdivisions
  • new buildings or structures
  • changing a use.

You can make a concurrent application if you want to apply for a planning scheme amendment and development permit at the same time. All applicants are strongly advised to speak with a planner before applying.
