If you are the owner of a dog that is usually kept within the council area, you will need to register your dog if it is over the age of 3 months.

Registrations run from 1 September to 31 August each year.

Additional information

Katherine Town Council offers both yearly registration (based on financial year) and lifetime registration. For lifetime dog registration, your dog must be both desexed and microchipped.

Pro-rata registration is available for new dogs only.

Guide / service dogs are exempt from Councils registration requirements.
