Electricity Licences - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to carry on operations in the electricity supply industry. There are five types of licence:

  • Retail: trade in and sell electricity
  • Generator: generate electricity to sell
  • Dedicated connection asset: own or operate an electricity network or a dedicated connection asset
  • System control: exercise system control over a power system
  • Network:  generate and sell power within a geographic area

Licences may be subject to conditions and will require you to comply with applicable codes, rules, protocols and standards.
