Environmental Practitioner and Auditor Registration - Northern Territory


You will need this registration if you intend to undertake an environmental audit. Environmental audits are required where works will impact the environment or an environment protection approval holder has contravened a condition of their licence.

An environmental audit is a documented evaluation of an action and its environmental impact. The purpose of an environmental audit is to gather compliance information, determine whether an action can be improved so to protect the environment and to assess the nature, type and intensity of environmental impacts.

To be eligible, you must:

  • successfully complete a relevant training course approved by the NT EPA
  • be accredited by a body or organisation approved by the NT EPA.
