Firearms Employees Licence - Northern Territory


This licence must be held by employees who are required by their employer to use a gun. The employer must hold a corporate licence and the employee may only use firearms of the category specified on the employee gun licence. The employee licence is immediately revoked if the holder ceases to be employed by the employer holding the corporate licence.

The issue of this licence is not automatic and some occupations such as security guards or bank guards will require counselling by a legal practitioner regarding the legal force that may be used and must have completed an approved firearms safety and training course.
