Firearms Museum Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to permanently possess and display firearms in a Museum or Art Gallery.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible must provide the following information with your application:

  • name and location of the proposed museum
  • full names, addresses and titles of executive members
  • a copy of the Constitution or Memorandum of Association or Charter under which the museum is formed
  • full name and address (including postal address) of the person nominated as being responsible for storage and display of the firearm exhibits
  • opening hours for the museum
  • type of firearms to be collected and displayed
  • security provisions for the storage and display of the firearms.
