Fireworks Display or Special Effects Permit - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to hold a fireworks display or special effects show.

The types of fireworks allowed will depend on the training and experience of the operator and the location of the display. Approval from the Police, Fire and Emergency Services, and your local Council is required before the regulator will grant a permit.

Permit holders must have due regard to safety of persons and property.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

have sufficient training or experience in pyrotechnic devices, fire and emergency procedures and use of protective equipment
have an understanding of hazards, safety rules and risk management.

Duration

A permit is valid for a single display. Separate permits are required for each display or series of displays.
