High Risk Work Licence - Northern Territory


A High Risk Work Licence should be obtained if you are intending to complete any type of work as outlined in Schedule 3 of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Regulations, including but not limited to:

  • Crane and Hoist operation ??? Tower crane, self-erecting tower crane, derrick crane, portal boom crane, Bridge and gantry crane, Vehicle loading crane, Non-slewing crane + slewing
  • Materials and Personal hoist
  • Forklift operation
  • Boom-Type elevating work platforms
  • Scaffolding work
  • Dogging and rigging work; and
  • Pressure equipment.
  • Concrete placing boom
  • Reach stacker

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

  • VET Competency training assessment reports within 60 days of issuing
  • Northern Territory resident (unless fly-in fly-out worker)
  • Applicant minimum age of 18
