International Visitors Permit - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this permit if you are an international visitor, and you intend to bring a Category A, B or H firearm into the Northern Territory for safari hunting or competition shooting.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • you travel details (arrival/departure dates, flight numbers, Australian contact details)
  • a copy of your passport
  • a firearm licence (or a criminal history police check, if unlicensed)
  • details (make, model, serial number, type) of any firearms and / or ammunition being imported 
  • a current photograph
