A NT Health Certificate & Waybill is required for the movement of livestock including cattle, buffalo, camels, sheep, goats, deer, and bees into the Territory. Please refer to our website Livestock Movement requirements. It is issued by the Agriculture Department / Primary Industry of the exporting State. Where applicants intend to export stock interstate from the NT they should contact the Department [Primary Industry] for the equivalent certificate.
Sheep are prohibited from entering the Northern Territory except with the express permission in writing of the Chief Inspector of Livestock. Phone 08 8999 2031 to discuss.
Deer may not enter or be imported into the Territory unless authorisation to do so has been given by the Parks & Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory.
The importing of bees, or equipment and products associated with bees, into the Territory is restricted and also requires a Movement Permit under the Livestock Act before importation. Contact the agency for further information.
