Mollusc Fishery Licence - Northern Territory

You will need to apply for a mollusc fishery licence if you intend to collect molluscs commercially. Under a mollusc licence, you may take shellfish but must not collect pearl oysters and other cephalopods such as squid, octopus, cuttlefish and nautilus.

Commercial mollusc fishing is allowed in intertidal waters between the high water mark and low water mark. Molluscs can only be collected by hand.

There is only one licence, it is allocated and cannot be bought sold or leased.
