Nomination of an Operator of a Mining Site - Northern Territory

Description

If you are a titleholder or owner of a mining site you will need to nominate an operator. An owner of a mining site may either nominate an operator or can be the operator themselves.

If you appoint an operator, they must:

  • the operator must establish a management system for the site before mining activities are carried out on the mining site
  • implement and maintain the management system while mining activities are carried out on the site.
