Notification of Pharmacy Ownership - Northern Territory

Description

You will need to notify the Pharmacy Premises Committee (PPC) if you intend to own or operate a pharmacy,

As an authorised pharmacy owner, you must also comply with the standards prescribed by the agency and ensure the pharmacy is under direct supervision of a pharmacist at all times.

You must appoint a pharmacist in charge and notify the agency of the appointment.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you will need to provide the agency with:

  • a copy of business registration, Australian Business Number Registration,
  • details of contract of sale of the business
  • a copy of the contract for sale of the premises or copy of the lease of premises
  • details of financing arrangements for the purchasers
  • details of any additional agreements
  • details of any pecuniary interests
  • details of pharmacist in charge.
