To gain accreditation, the applicant must satisfy the Director's requirements, including:
- fit and proper person
- must not be bankrupt
- must not have been charged or convicted of a Disqualifying Offence.
When you make your application for Operator Accreditation, you will need to identify what category of Commercial Passenger Vehicle (CPV) you intend to operate. See this site: https://nt.gov.au/driving/industry/types-of-commercial-passenger-vehicles for the categories of CPV or contact your local MVR office in the Northern Territory.
In the case of a body corporate, a current company extract must be provided and each office bearer must satisfy the Director's requirements.
Accreditation is the first of three provisions that are required prior to operating Commercial Passenger Vehicles in the NT. Other provisions includes holding an appropriate Commercial Vehicle Licence (CVL) and having an approved vehicle.
