Paintball Employee Licence - Northern Territory


You will need this licence if you intend to work for a paintball operator. This licence authorises employees of a paintball range to possess and use paintball firearms and pellets for the performance of their employment.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be currently employed by the holder of a Paintball Operators Licence
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be a resident of the Northern Territory
  • provide proof of identity
  • have competed, or arranged to undergo a paintball safety course.

Additional information

Licence holders must:

  • comply with the relevant safe keeping and storage requirements under the Firearms Act 1997
  • not permit any unauthorised person to possess or use a firearm in the holder's possession
  • permit a police officer to inspect, at any reasonable time, the holder's facilities for the storage and safe keeping of firearms
  • not possess an amount of ammunition that exceeds the amount authorised in writing by the Commissioner.
