Paintball Operator Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a paintball business. It authorises the holder to possess and use paintball firearms and pellets for the purpose of operating a paintball business.

Licence holders must:

  • comply with the relevant safe keeping and storage requirements
  • not permit any unauthorised person to possess or use a firearm in the holder's possession
  • permit a police officer to inspect, at any reasonable time, the holder's facilities for the storage and safe keeping of firearms
  • not possess an amount of ammunition that exceeds the amount authorised in writing by the Commissioner.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • have a proprietary limited company with an ACN
  • have a nominated a suitable Representative
  • provide the Commissioner the names and addresses of each person who is a close associate of the company and the particulars of the person associated with the applicant
  • meet the safe storage requirements under the Firearms Act and Regulations for the storage of any firearms and ammunition held on this licence
  • have proof of a public liability insurance policy of more than $10 million dollars
  • have in place the required approvals required under Territory law to construct and operate the paintball range at the nominated location.
