Permit to Erect or Place a Structure on a Public Place - Northern Territory


A permit is required to erect, place, install or maintain a fence, rail, building, stair, steps, projection, post, pillar, bridge, footway, fixture, pole, tent, booth, furniture, stand, display, exhibition, decoration or other structure in or on a public place or that encroaches upon a public place. For example, the permit is required for temporary structures for the housing of building materials or sporting goods or for the erection of awnings.
