You will need this permit if you intend to plant, cut, break, remove or disturb a tree, shrub, stem, branch, or root of a living tree, in public places for landscaping purposes.

A permit is also required to dig or remove soil and other materials in a public place. It is required for purposes such as conducting excavations during beautification of nature strips.
