Poultry Abattoir Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a domestic or export poultry abattoir. Poultry are domesticated birds kept by humans for their eggs, feathers or meat.

Licence holders must not process, pack, store, dispatch or sell any meat for human consumption, unless it is processed at the establishment listed on the licence.

The Australian Poultry Standard provides more information on the health and safety standards you must comply with to operate a poultry abattoir.
