Racing Bookmaker's Permit - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to work as a registered bookmaker at any Northern Territory racecourse. Bookmaking means the business of receiving or negotiating bets.

This permit allows you to take on-course bets in person and bets over the telephone as long as you are on a registered racecourse. It does not allow you to take bets via the Internet.

Eligibility requirements

Before you apply for this permit, you must:

  • undergo a police check
  • be over 18
  • be fit and proper
  • provide supporting documentations including financial records
  • follow all NT racing rules and regulations, including any conditions from racing club stewards
  • provide a bank guarantee of $10,000.
