Real Estate Agent Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to carry out work as a real estate agent. Real estate agents buy, sell and lease real estate on behalf of clients for payment or reward. Licence holders are authorised to sell, buy, exchange, lease, let or dispose of land.

You may apply for a restricted licence in either of the following areas:

  • sales functions
  • property management functions.

Real estate agents can apply as an individual (sole trader), a firm (partnership) or a company.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • obtain a police check
  • hold the units of competency as specified by the agency
  • be a fit and proper person.

Duration

One, three or five years.

Expiry

Your licence will expire on the anniversary of the date it was granted.
