Registration of a Radiation Source - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this registration if you own a radiation source. Before you register the source, you need to have a licence to possess and a certificate of compliance.

A radiation source is something that may emit ionising radiation. It can be radioactive material or a radiation apparatus.

A person who manufactures, possess, uses, stores, transports, disposes of or otherwise deals with a radiation source must take all measures that are reasonable and practicable to ensure any activities does not result in harm to the health or safety of persons or environment caused by radiation emitted from the source.
