Research Authorisation - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this authorisation if you intend to undertake scientific or medical research on schedule 4 or schedule 8 substances.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

To be eligible you must satisfy the Chief Health Commissioner that the research:

has merit and is justified
is to be conducted using facilities and resources appropriate for research
cannot be carried out without the use of the substance
will be conducted at a place where there is adequate security to prevent unlawful use or removal of the substance from the place.
