Shotfirer Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to conduct work as a shotfirer. Shotfirer work includes the use of blast explosives, display fireworks and special effects.

You may need this licence to undertake work in any of the following areas:

  • agricultural / seismic / small scale blasting
  • quarrying / open cut
  • construction
  • tunnelling and underground mining
  • fireworks displays
  • special events.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • be 18 or older
  • provide proof of identity
  • have a current criminal history check
  • provide evidence of competency training and a letter from an employer outlining in-house training (no more than six months before you apply).
