Shotfirer Licence - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to conduct work as a shotfirer. Shotfirer work includes the use of blast explosives, display fireworks and special effects.

You may need this licence to undertake work in any of the following areas:

agricultural / seismic / small scale blasting
quarrying / open cut
construction
tunnelling and underground mining
fireworks displays
special events.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

be 18 or older
provide proof of identity
have a current criminal history check
provide evidence of competency training and a letter from an employer outlining in-house training (no more than six months before you apply).
