Shotfirer Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this certificate if you intend to blast explosives, display fireworks and special effects in the Northern Territory.

You may require this licence to undertake work in any of the following areas:

  • agricultural / seismic / small scale blasting
  • quarrying / open cut
  • construction
  • tunnelling and underground mining
  • fireworks displays
  • special events.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this certificate you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • provide proof of identity
  • have a current criminal history check
  • evidence of competency training and a letter from employer outlining in-house training (no more than six months before you apply).
