Taxi Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence to operate a taxi service in the Northern Territory.

A taxi is a vehicle that carries up to 15 passengers, for the purpose of hire or reward.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for a taxi licence, you must:

  • hold a current NT driver licence
  • hold a commercial passenger vehicle (CPV) licence (H endorsement)
  • be endorsed by a taxi network (or taxi operator where there is not a network, as meeting the approved training competencies)
  • ensure you meet taxi KPIs
  • a commercial passenger vehicle identify (CPVID) card.

  • Alice Springs - $4,000
  • Katherine - $2,500
