Approval of an inspection station - Queensland

You will need this approval to use your premises as an inspection station. Before a registered vehicle can be offered for sale, or when an unregistered vehicle is being re-registered, it must be inspected to ensure minimum safety standards are met. Certain types of vehicles can be inspected at Approved Inspection Stations (AIS).

AIS premises must have a dedicated and suitably sized inspection area, all equipment necessary for an approved examiner to conduct a thorough inspection of all vehicle types and have met the that the AIS is approved and applying to inspect.
