You will need this approval if you intend to use a motor vehicle on council or local authority controlled land that is not a motor vehicle access area. You may also need this approval if you intend to use a prohibited vehicle on a specified motor vehicle access area.
A motor vehicle access area includes car parks or roadways where there is no sign or traffic control device excluding public vehicles.
Your council or local authority can determine what should be considered to be a motor vehicle access area, as well as determining what vehicles are prohibited from using them.
This approval does not apply to emergency vehicles.
