Liquor manager approval - Queensland

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to manage premises that sells or supplies liquor. You will be responsible for ensuring that liquor is supplied or possessed on the premises in accordance with the authority conferred by the licence or permit.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible as an approved manager, you must:

  • be over 18 years of age
  • hold a current approved responsible management of licensed venues (RMLV) certificate
  • not be a licensee.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

RMLV certificates are only valid for three years from date of issue. You will need to ensure that your certificate remains current.

There are two different ways to apply to become an approved manager:

  1. Complete the online form
  2. Complete Form 82: Application for liquor and gaming individual employees.

Transfer

An approval cannot be transferred.
