Casino associated persons process - Queensland

Description

The Minister may cause investigations to be undertaken to satisfy the Governor in Council that all persons associated with the ownership, management or operation of a proposed or licensed Queensland casino are of good repute.

Associated Person means chief employees of the casino licensee or casino operator (e.g. Director, Secretary, Manager) and Directors and Chief Employees of any holding company. Please note, this definition is provided as a guide to identify those persons who would likely be determined to be associated with the ownership, management or operation of a proposed or licensed Queensland casino and accordingly be required to be considered for approval as an Associated Person.

Duration

While the association remains in place. However, investigations are periodically conducted into each association, and it is possible that suitability may be rescinded. In these situations, the casino must ensure the person is disassociated from the ownership, management or operation of the casino (e.g. shares divested, removal from board).

You must submit the appropriate completed 'Personal Probity Form' to the OLGR head office. Generally, persons of interest would be contacted by OLGR directly.

This approval cannot be issued without the approval of the Governor in Council based on the recommendation of the Minister.
