Biodiscovery collection authority - Queensland

Description

You will require this authority if you intend to take small amounts of native biological resources (e.g. plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms that are native to Australia) from State Lands or Queensland waters for the purpose of seeking to identify bioactive compounds that may be used for commercial purposes (e.g. pharmaceuticals and insecticides).

The authority lapses 1 year after it is issued if a benefit sharing agreement is not entered into within that period
