You will need this permit if you intend to carry out operational work that involves the clearing of protected native vegetation on freehold, Indigenous or State land. In some cases, you may also need to have developmental approval before clearing land.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
You will need to indicate how the proposed clearing addresses every component of the relevant purpose listed in the Act.
Prior to preparing the application, you should discuss the proposed clearing with a vegetation management officer.
