This code provides minimum acceptable standards for the taking, keeping and use of reptiles and amphibians in Queensland. It also outlines some of the conditions for the conduct of persons involved in the taking, keeping and use of reptiles and amphibians in Queensland.

This code is intended as a resource for recreational keepers, but may be useful to many types of people,
including herpetologists, animal welfare experts and researchers.
