Code of practice for radiation protection in veterinary medicine - Queensland


You may need to comply with this code if you are involved in the use of ionising radiation and lasers in veterinary practice.

This code applies to the use of radiation in veterinary medicine, teaching and research.

The code provides a system for the safe use of veterinary radiation equipment and radioactive sources to minimise the risk associated with radiation exposure of staff and other persons. The Safety Guide within the code informs best practice in each application of ionising radiation.
