Code of practice for transport of livestock - Queensland

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you transport livestock.

The code applies to the transportation of commercial and non-commercial livestock by road, rail, and to livestock transport vehicles aboard a ship. The transport process begins when livestock are assembled prior to loading, and ends when the livestock are unloaded at the final destination.

The code applies to everyone involved in the care and management of livestock throughout the transport process. This code sets out the minimum requirements to ensure the welfare of all livestock throughout the transportation process.
