Collection authority - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to keep a collection of dead animals. There are two categories of licence:

  • dead least concern animal collection authority - allows for the animal to be used and sold where it is incorporated into a work of art (taxidermy) but not for any other commercial purpose
  • dead protected animal authority - does not allow for the animal to be used for any commercial purpose and is generally issued for reference purposes in cases where the educational purposes permit is not appropriate.
