Primary commercial fishing licence - Queensland

Description

You will need to apply for this licence to operate a nominated primary boat and tender boats for commercial fishing (in accordance with the fishery symbols appearing on your boat licence). Operations are limited to the fisheries noted for the licence in the register (e.g. net, line, crabbing, pearl shell). You must ensure that the licence has the correct fishery symbols for the intended fishing activities.

Tender boats, which are used alongside the primary boat, may be no more than 10 metres long and must display the issued boat mark in several places. Certain fisheries limit the number of tender boats permitted for operations with the primary boat.

No new licences are currently being issued. You must obtain (by transfer) an existing licence (from within the fleet) which is endorsed with the fishery symbols appropriate to the intended type of activities.
