There are two different parking permits for business use - business parking permit and commercial vehicle parking permit.
You will need a business parking permit if you are a city businesses employee and intend to use your vehicle frequently throughout the day and need to access on-street parking close to your business premises.
They are not available for day-to-day employee commuting or for business use where a vehicle is parked on the street all day.
A business parking permit allows you to park on-street at no cost, but you must adhere to parking time limits and other parking restrictions, such as not parking in disability bays, taxi, bus and commercial loading zones.
You will need a commercial vehicle parking permit if you intend to park your sedan, station wagon or motorcycle (which is used for business purposes) to park in a designated commercial vehicle loading zone. Utilities (including dual cabs), panel vans and vans without rear passenger seats and / or seat belts do not need a commercial vehicle parking permit.
