Craft beer producer permit - Queensland

Description

You will need this permit if you operate a licensed brewery outside of Queensland and you intend to sell or supply craft beer at a promotional event in Queensland. You will need to have produced the craft beer at your own licensed brewery.

The sale or supply of craft beer you have produced at your interstate licensed premises at a promotional event is restricted to:

  • sale of your craft beer to persons for consumption away from the event
  • sale or supply of samples of your craft beer to persons for consumption at the event.

The total amount of craft beer that may be sold or supplied to each person for consumption away from the event is nine litres.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • obtain the consent of the promotional event organiser
  • conduct the business of producing craft beer on the licensed premises
  • produce no more than 5 million litres of beer in any financial year
  • not hold more than one producer / wholesaler licence or equivalent licence issued by another state.

  • a copy of your equivalent interstate licence including all attachments and conditions
  • the prescribed fee.

Transfer

This permit cannot be transferred.
