Dealer licence (macropods) - Queensland

You will need this licence to buy, sell or process dead macropods. This licence applies to a specified site or premises.

There are 3 categories depending on your intended activities:

  • Dealer site - allows you to buy macropod carcasses and skins on site. This licence does not allow you to process the carcasses, meat or skins. It is sometimes known as a 'field depot' licence.
  • Meat processing - allows you to process macropod meat at the site
  • Tannery - allows you to process macropod skins at the site.

Service type

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
